At Akash, where I'm a director of marketing, our biggest pain point was that all our centers across India, they were closed. And therefore, what we had to do is shift our teaching very quickly onto a virtual platform. So with the help of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and a few others, we were able to connect to our students and we ensured that there is continuity of classes. Now, the biggest challenge that we faced here was that our faculty and our teachers, they were not used to teaching online. So we had to get green boards, we had to reskill them very quickly with the help of some of the advanced teachers who we had. And it took us about three to four weeks to really come to speed in terms of ensuring that we continue to impart quality education.

The second challenge we also faced was that there were some students who did not have either a high quality laptop or a tab with fast speed. So we ensured that we reached out to each and every student and we also ensured that we at a very low cost because we have partners like Samsung and Lenovo, we're able to give them tabs at a very special price. And we also kept it up with high speeds, which is using our partners, which are AITL and GEO. So that's how we ensured that each and every of our students continued with their learning. Because as you are aware, both DEET and JE are one of the most competitive exams in the world. And there is no way that we can allow for any sort of thing. So these were the two big things that came

on to us and we could fulfill it. One of the good things that also happened was, as you are aware, we run about 25 centers, which are primarily physical. But this also gave us an opportunity to reach out to students who are not part of our centers and they are now digitally connected. So overall, what we saw was a much faster adoption and a much faster growth. We had a lot of students even coming from remote areas. For example, I am in Bangalore, there is a city close by. We didn't have students from Thumpur as an example, but this opportunity where technology really, technology adoption really helped us, those students who could join us. So we started giving our offerings to the entire nation

and we saw good growth actually coming from these tier two, tier three towns where we did not have our physical centers. So that's one. And the second thing is that we also saw a lot of inbound interest getting generated when we were using digital marketing. So there were questions like, how do we clear our doubts one on one because being a competitive exam, you need what we also did is from each of the centers that we have specialized teachers, right, who actually reached out to the students in case they had any doubts or in case they wanted some form of motivation. We also did a lot of parents, teachers meeting online. So the whole point was that as we hold people in our physical centers one on one, we could do that.

And given online, we had a lot of banquet because we saved a lot of time on travel, on ensuring that people whenever or students, whenever they had doubts, they could reach out to our teachers. For us, it was a very large opportunity in terms of market growth and our overall market share also increased in terms of the number of students that we have.
