IP05 · SOURCE SIGNALS

What the transcript puts on the table.

That's where I think we personally got to know each other a lot better, the family members of our employees a lot better.
It's very easy to lose faith, become cynical about the environment, become cynical about the way things were.
That's to me, touchwood has been the biggest sort of learning that in a professional environment, you can, you don't just coexist, you really become empathetic towards each other's needs and problems.

IP08 · THE QUESTION NOW

So like everyone else, the pandemic made us pivot, right? It was not just a function of getting used to a work from home environment. We also wanted to ensure that while it could not be business as usual, there wouldn't be no loss of jobs. We had our trusted partnerships with clients, so our business was not really impacted even if the marketing spends got reduced. So we continued to pay full salaries to our employees. Increments happened on time. Salaries were paid on time. There was zero downsizing and we looked to farm existing businesses. We also hunted for new businesses. Fortunately, we were able to convert a few, but more importantly, it was all about our employees' mental and physical wellbeing, right?

That kind of really came first and the pandemic really provided an opportunity for us to go beyond the professional realm of things. And that's where I think we personally got to know each other a lot better, the family members of our employees a lot better. And in the midst of that, touchwood, we even managed to create work which moved the needle in the marketplace with whatever opportunities there were and also won at award shows. So all in all, it's been a good run for the past 18 months or so. It was to ensure that we were very considerate and empathetic towards each other. And it was all about working as a team and having that trust. It's very easy to lose faith, become cynical about the environment, become cynical about the way things were.

But as long as we kept the faith in each other and saying that, you know, together we can and we can come out of this, let's all work collaboratively. I think that was the secret sauce for us. And that's to me, touchwood has been the biggest sort of learning that in a professional environment, you can, you don't just coexist, you really become empathetic towards each other's needs and problems.
