What the transcript puts on the table.
Those are certain things that we did, which I think was a part of our agile way of working, which helped us in terms of putting our clients' money into that bucket, which was most relevant and meaningful during the time of the pandemic.
The agility that we had in terms of going to them and giving them solutions which were very relevant and fine-tuned to the pandemic environment was something that the clients were really looking forward to.
I was telling my clients to be on those relevant, meaningful environments where the brand was getting sold and where consumers were connecting with the brand.
Original context. Current reading.
Recorded in 2021, this captures the language, platforms and constraints of its time. Read it now by separating those period-specific details from the enduring operating question: how should AI and relevance improve the decision?
Durable tests for the work.
- Use AI to improve a decision or outcome—not to decorate the plan.
- Start from the customer’s situation, not the channel.
What would you keep, change or measure differently if this idea were put to work now?

I am very proud of that this whole pandemic accelerated the digital transformation in a very big way. In my view, the digital transformation was already happening even before the pandemic. But because of the pandemic, we were forced to prepone it by close to about five to six years. What we would have otherwise seen in 2025-26 was actually brought forward to 2020. And importantly, we use this time to reorganize, restructure our talent and our organization. And during this period, we use our resources to reorganize our agency and make it more future ready. I've always maintained that we are an agile agency. And this agility helped us fight this unprecedented situation as well.
Because you needed to be agile to suddenly change your work culture, to suddenly change your way of working, your way of thinking, your way of interacting with the client. And we realized that within a week's time, we had all changed. And some of these changes have been there, will be there forever. What has also happened during this period while I don't want to shy away from the fact that business was tough and there was a lot of budget cuts from the client and for right reasons. We were going to clients and telling them that if you're not able to spend on the offline front, you are still spending on the online marketplaces. And why don't we advertise there? Why don't we optimize your presence over there?
So those are certain things that we did, which I think was a part of our agile way of working, which helped us in terms of putting our clients' money into that bucket, which was most relevant and meaningful during the time of the pandemic. I was telling my clients to be on those relevant, meaningful environments where the brand was getting sold and where consumers were connecting with the brand. In 2020, we won the Domino's business, which is the largest pitch of the year. 2021, early, we won the Ola business, the Ola Mobility, as well as the Ola Electric, Micromax. We won the Smule business, Walmart, Norton, Humdurds, and very active in terms of our pitch.
And the agility that we had in terms of going to them and giving them solutions which were very relevant and fine-tuned to the pandemic environment was something that the clients were really looking forward to. And as a result of that, REGMA has rated as one of the most agile and number one agency on new business, our new organization, which is completely MX ready and digitally orient with the right people there at all levels to take on the future from here.
