The durable question is how attention and media should improve attention without losing sight of attention.

Three takeaways worth carrying forward.
- 01
Read attention and media as the primary operating question in this record.
- 02
Test its connection to attention and relevance against the speaker’s reasoning in the transcript.
- 03
Keep the 2021 source context visible before carrying the lesson into a current decision.
What the transcript puts on the table.
Why I like that campaign is that it's very unlikely for a company that relies on tourism, that relies on travel to go ahead and say and say this message that be at your home.
They did a slew of campaigns again around the pandemic, asking people to stay back.
From the other two ads that I saw, which really moved me was the AirAsia campaign during the COVID period.
Original context. Current reading.
Recorded in 2021, this captures the language, platforms and constraints of its time. Read it now by separating those period-specific details from the enduring operating question: how should attention and relevance improve the decision?
Durable tests for the work.
- Earn attention with relevance before scaling reach.
- Start from the customer’s situation, not the channel.

My all-time favorite was the iPhone X when they introduced the face ID and a slew of other features. But what was great about that ad was that they had to communicate like 20 different USBs, the biggest of them being the face ID, but they did it in a manner which was extremely snappy. You couldn't move away from the screen, the music, the way the message is delivered. And I think this is what Apple did even in their annual event. They made a one and a half minute video out of this, which just quickly kind of describes and it became a new form of video representation. So I think I really love that. From the other two ads that I saw, which really moved me was the AirAsia campaign during the COVID period.
And why I like that campaign is that it's very unlikely for a company that relies on tourism, that relies on travel to go ahead and say and say this message that be at your home. It's got the widest leg space, right? It fundamentally goes against their business, but it's good for the customers. So I think to have that heart to come out loud and say this, I think it requires some certain degree of courage to do that. And I applaud AirAsia and both IXEGO for it. And so they did a slew of campaigns again around the pandemic, asking people to stay back. And so the sounds we miss or the Sahna and all of those campaigns, I think they came out wonderfully well. And so the other thing is, I think it's a great thing.
