IP05 · SOURCE SIGNALS

What the transcript puts on the table.

The contrast of this campaign is something that, that, that made everyone who saw the video uncomfortable.
Every time I watch that video, it's a seven minute long video, but you won't get bored every time you watch and every time I watch it gives me goosebumps.
Also just like, sometimes we don't realize that unknowingly we end up hurting or crossing our lines with people.
IP06 · HOW MARKETING HAS CHANGED

Original context. Current reading.

Recorded in 2021, this captures the language, platforms and constraints of its time. Read it now by separating those period-specific details from the enduring operating question: how should attention and relevance improve the decision?

IP07 · TIMELESS RULES

Durable tests for the work.

  1. Earn attention with relevance before scaling reach.
  2. Start from the customer’s situation, not the channel.
IP08 · THE QUESTION NOW

What would you keep, change or measure differently if this campaign analysis were put to work now?

In the last 18 months, three campaigns that have really caught my attention are the first one and and one of my favorite is from Facebook. The campaign is more together. Every time I watch that video, it's a seven minute long video, but you won't get bored every time you watch and every time I watch it gives me goosebumps. The ad film is centered on a young girl who's running her father's dairy shop. Why I feel this is this issue if you see this came before the second wave. And during the second wave, everybody while the whole system collapsed, the whole healthcare and everything went off of control. Social media came to help to a lot of people. And then if you see a

lot of small heroes who nobody knew who they are, stopped doing what they were up to and then started helping people using social media. A lot of small communities came that used to give us updates on where you can find medicines or oxygen cylinder. Phenomenal work and I personally feel that we do all these things, but campaigns like these makes us aware that let's not forget that our responsibility and how we can use any mediums for benefit. The second one that caught my attention was Unacademy's Teach Them Young. The reason why I love this campaign is personally live in a very fast changing world and we have to keep pace with this. That means we have to question what we do and we've been doing for ages.

And if you see the ad, the central message of the ad is to unlearn, which is right on spot because what used to function when you were kid doesn't, is not practical now. So third one is something that I was fortunate and lucky to be part of. It's for a non-profit called Pink Belt Mission and the campaign is I want my big pink belt. So basically the NPO created a device which is an anti-rape device, which is, it's a variable which is, which has a sim card in built and then triggers a GPS signal to authorities. Why it's so critical? It was also launched during Women's Day. The contrast of this campaign is something that, that, that made everyone who saw the video uncomfortable.

Also just like, sometimes we don't realize that unknowingly we end up hurting or crossing our lines with people. I think messaging like these actually gets that change in behavior for a lot of people.
